An amazing breakthrough happened...

...in my integration efforts here in Fogo early today when Lady N called me a “troxisto.” I couldn’t find that word in the English-Kriolu dictionary, but instead I found “trosentu” which she affirms is the same thing. So, according to the dictionary, this means I am a:

s. Practical joker (brajeru); Bullshitter; adj. Annoying (fastentu); Sarcastic (Xuzanti); Joking

So, it makes me fika kontenti (happy) to know that even with my limited language skills, I’ve still been able to convey to her the true nature of my being. :-)
